ELECTRONIC WORK PERMIT- LESS THAN 50 EMPLOYEES
The new rule states that all companies need to apply for an electronic work permit quota (EWP) first. Once done, it will activate the labor card of the company which will then allow the application process to start for new visas. This facility is to determine in advance how many employees will you be requiring in the next six months, and what designations and genders you will be hiring.
The primary reason why this facility has been introduced is for the Ministry of Labor to find out if the designations and genders of companies are in line with their core business activities.
For companies who have less than 50 employees the EWP can be applied in any authorized typing centers
